Pakistan stutter after bright start in do-or-die ODI

DAMBULLA: Pakistan were 106 for 4 at the end of 20.3 overs in the third one-day international against Sri Lanka here on Monday.
Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and sent Pakistan in to bat in the third one-day international of the five-match series.
Opener Nasir Jamshed was removed by Thilan Thushara in the second over after making one run.
The second wicket to fall was that of wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal who was dismissed for 45 by Angelo Mathews.
Dilhara Fernando removed Shoaib Malik in the 21st over for 12 runs.
Younis Khan was runout for 44 in the 22nd over.
Pakistan made one change to their side from the second ODI, bringing in Rana Naved-ul-Hasan for fast bowler Umar Gul.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka replaced Sanath Jayasuriya with Thilina Kandamby and Lasith Malinga has been rested to bring in Dilhara Fernando.
Pakistan, who lost the first two matches, need a win to stay alive in the series.
