ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari will embark on a four- day visit to China on August 21 to boost the multidimensional ties between the two countries with particular emphasis on reviewing progress in dozens of new developmental initiatives undertaken during the last one year.

Spokesperson to the President said the President will visit HangZhou in Zhejiang province and Guangzhou in Guangdong province.

The President will also attend investment forums on Pak China trade and investment opportunities in both the cities, which are models of huge economic success, he said.

The new economic initiatives launched during the last one year also include building of hydro dams, transfer of hybrid technology, expanding banking operations, roads and communication networks, cooperation in agriculture, focusing on optimum utilization of irrigation water and development of new high yielding varieties of wheat and cotton, the proposed Thar Coal project and dredging of Tarbela reservoir.LINK
