ISLAMABAD: The special cabinet committee constituted on the electricity crisis has resolved in its meeting that there will be no observation of power outages during the hours of Sehar, Iftar and Traveeh in the upcoming sacred month of Ramazan, Geo news reported Thursday.

Federal Minister for Water and Electricity Raja Pervez Ashraf told media following the meeting of the special cabinet committee held here under his chair that the committee discussed Ramzan Package during meeting.

He said he will be briefing media thoroughly over the generation of electricity during the meeting of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Friday.

The meeting will also review the electricity need of country by the year 2025, he added.

Federal Minister said a report has been prepared over the Rental Power Projects (RPPs), which will also be presented during the ECC meeting.

He said we cannot help commencing Rental Power Projects (RPPs) but these projects will be made efficient for improvement in electricity generation.More
