LONDON: More than three quarters of Britons believe the government is not doing enough to support British troops in Afghanistan, according to an opinion poll released on Monday.

Eighty-two percent said the British government should provide better support for troops compare with 12 percent who said it was doing enough. Fifty-seven percent said troops should not be fighting in Afghanistan, with only 17 percent of women supporting Britain's role in the conflict compared with 40 percent of men.
