Indian info against Hafiz Saeed ‘insufficient’: FO

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has described the information shared by India against Amir of the banned Jamat-ud-Da’awa as insufficient and that Pakistan is carrying out action in Hafiz Saeed case according to its law.

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman at the weekly briefing said the relations with India are now heading in the right direction. However, he added, that the time and venue of the proposed meeting of the foreign secretaries of the both the countries has not yet been finalized.

To a question about Pakistani students detained in Britain, the spokesman said the students’ petition against deportation has been turned down and that their appeal will be heard in March next year.

Replying another question regarding the Pakistani families detained in Saudi Arabia in drugs case, he said the families will be provided consular access upon completion of the investigation by Saudi authorities.

The FO spokesman said Pakistan is in touch with Afghan government for elimination of the terror training camps in Afghanistan. However, its details cannot be shared with the media at this stage, he added . LINK
