SWAT: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Monday said the government will ensure the full-fledged rehabilitation of Swat.

Addressing the veterans of Swat here in Saidu Sharif, he said Pakistan Army crushed the network of militants, adding Pak Army, by the grace of Allah, has uprooted the extremists and militants to a great extent.

‘The government wants to wipe away the fallouts of terrorism from the affected places as early as possible and that the situation returns to normalcy as before,’ Gilani reassured the veterans.

He continued the extremists are on the run and the pressure will be maintained on them.

The plans will be prepared for poverty alleviation; the government will fully fund this programme, he said adding the handful of people deprived Swat people of their peace and livelihood.

PM Yousuf lauded the local people on their exemplary cooperation for the improvement of the situation and the people of Swat have greatly sacrificed in this operation for the purose.

The government is resolved about the reconstruction of Swat. On the occasion, the PM Gilani announced to construct Dargai-Mingora Road.

Earlier, the PM Gilani visited Girls College and a hospital in Siadu Sharif and consoled the patients there. LINK
