According to market sources, the price of 16 kg Ghee rose by Rs85 to Rs1690 while cooking oil registered a rise of Rs40 to Rs1620 per 16 litres.
The above increases have pushed the retail prices of Ghee to Rs105.62 per kg and cooking oil to Rs101.25 per litre.
All Pakistan Banaspati Manufacturers Association has cited the increase in international palm oil price and decline in rupee value as reasons for the rise in Ghee and cooking. LINK..
