RAWALPINDI: The security forces continued search and clearance operations in Swat in collaboration local Lashkars and people of the area, Malakand and Swat during last 24 hours.

According to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday, security forces conducted search operation in Swat area of Kabalgram near Martung, Shangla and destroyed 10 terrorists’ hideouts.

Security forces conducted search operation at Kuz Shaur near Chuprial in Swat and apprehended 8 terrorists.Security forces conducted search operation near Mingora and apprehended 6 terrorists. Also, the security forces conducted search operation around Charbagh and demolished 5 terrorist hideouts.

Security forces conducted search operation at Nigulai and Kuza Banda and confiscated 3 vehicles (a toyota surf , a land cruiser and potohar) of terrorist commander Khurshid.

Security forces conducted search operation at Kotah near Barikot in Swat and killed a terrorist and recovered arms and ammunition.

Security forces conducted search operation at Goratai and killed 3 terrorists including an IEDs / bomb expert.

Local lashkar during search operation supported by Frontier Corps in Dir area of Dog Darra killed 4 terrorists including an important terrorist commander Shakoor. The Lashkar has surrounded the terrorists and are closing in rapidly.

Security forces raided house of a terrorist in Munz Banda and recovered 20 kgs explosives, detonators and lot of material required for preparation of IEDs.

The security forces continued the relief activities, as so far 242,259 cash cards have been distributed amongst the IDPs of Malakand.

Also, 5.456 billion rupees have been withdrawn by IDPs of Malakand. LINK
